How To Create a Culture of Innovation

Business Innovation Speaker and Consultant Stephen Shapiro has been blogging since August 2004, with innovation the sun at the centre of his universe and a whole lot of satellites revolving around it such as Creativity, Success and Poker. The article he published on July 6 about how to create a culture of innovation will be useful to any student or professional who is interested in diverse perspectives when it comes to putting in place an innovation programme.

"An organization’s innovation process must achieve three things. It must:
  • focus on the “right” challenges
  • find appropriate solutions to those challenges, and
  • implement the best solutions.
These translate into three “portfolios” an organization must create:
  • A portfolio of challenges
  • A portfolio of solutions
  • A portfolio of projects
